Waiting for rain
Phew. Had a few days to cool off and come to my senses. Back to normality.
This lack of rain thing is becoming a problem, isn’t it? I know you guys Oop North have had a lot, but down in the SE of the UK it’s dry as a bone. My allotment’s like a desert. Don’t usually see this until July.
Absurdly, I’m writing this under a Met Office weather warning. By the time you read it, I’ll either be ranting anew about inaccurate weather forecasts, or building an Ark in the attic. See you on the high seas.
Still waiting for rain here in London. I have big cracks in the soil like we get in August! So it’s out with the hose again!

3rd day of housework (oh joy!) as we’ve been under or indeed in a cloud since Wednesday – but this is Wales. Should be coming your way though.

It’s raining hard here in Yorkshire. Still, the plants will be pleased.

We’ve got loads of rain up here in Manchester but dead cold and windy as well so loads of plants are waiting in the coldframes until I can actually plant them out. Very frustrating. Anyone want to swap a bit of our northern rain for a bit of southern warmer weather? 😉

I’m a Rain God, VP. Didn’t I mention it?
Cazaux: ‘Fraid I can’t remember the variety. Wouldn’t help if I could, because it’s a Russian one I picked up in Moscow. They’re supposed to be more like squashes than courgettes, truth be told.
